About Us
Cooper’s Cottages, is a new accommodation precinct in Lightning Ridge, bringing a taste of modern luxury, yet a quaint homely cottage away from home.
Our accommodation resembles a past, and yet, some would say a resemblance of present day Lightning Ridge humble miner’s dwelling.
“Cooper’s Cottage” circa 1916, stands proudly on Morilla Street, Lightning Ridge.
Cooper’s Cottage is an authentic abode of the early miners, constructed with whatever they could lay their hands on - the inside was just as ramshackle and innovative. Its historical setting embraces the living conditions of the mining pioneer, built in 1916 this is one of the oldest houses in Lightning Ridge.
In contrast, Cooper’s Cottages; modern 2 bedroom self contained cottages which pay homage to a past time and yet bring all the modcoms (services and amenities) for visitors to comfortably enjoy their stay whilst immersing into Lightning Ridge offerings.
